Yesterday Anglo American joined with Isaac Regional Mayor, Councillor Anne Baker, IsaacRegional councillors, representatives from Spotless and local community members to officiallyopen Anglo American’s new Moranbah community office at Shop 16, Moranbah Shopping Fair.Councillor Anne Baker cut the ribbon to the new shop front, which includes offices at the back,an open reception and waiting room area at the front and information boards about AngloAmerican throughout. Anglo American’s facilities management provider Spotless’administration team will also work from this location.
Moranbah Stakeholder Engagement Specialist, Lynda Pollock said Anglo American was proudto establish the town office as a central location for community members to visit and find outmore about Anglo American’s growth plans and projects in Moranbah.
“We have a longstanding history in Moranbah through our Moranbah North mine and haverecently started construction on the $1.7 billion Grosvenor project, which has the capacity tocreate up to 1000 new jobs in construction and operation,” Lynda said.
“As we develop Grosvenor, we know there will be increased interest in Anglo American and weare really excited to establish this office where community members can visit us and find outmore about our plans.”
